Follow these instructions to apply a specific rate of lagoon nitrogen.
How to Apply a Target Rate of Lagoon Nitrogen by using Flow Rate (GPM) and Irrigation Run Time
These tables are designed to be printed on letter size paper.
You may wish to use heavy paper and slip them in a sheet protector sleeve so that they can be used in the field.
Pounds of nitrogen per hour depending on flow rate (pump gpm or gravity)
If the output from your pond results in an application that is higher then you would prefer, one method of applying less is to inject the lagoon water into the fresh water only during the last portion of the irrigation set or check. These tables tell how long to run the lagoon pump. You will need to know the output of the pump in pounds of nitrogen per hour, as calculated from the tables above.
